Who is involved in Sustainable Niagara
Sustainable Niagara is currently undergoing renewed commitment and reorganization. As of October 12, 2010, SN's Interim Executives are:
- President: Melissa Hellwig, MEM Principal, Cyprea Sustainability, Niagara-On-The-Lake (NOTL)
- Treasurer: Anthony Barrett, Founder/Executive Director, Commonplace Eco-Village, Thorold
- Secretary: Evan DiValentino, Executive Director, Niagara Sustainability Initiative, St. Catharines
- Founder, Consultant/Advisor, and Webmaster: Bernie Slepkov, St. Catharines
As our renewed efforts take root, we will be seeking new members for our Board of Directors. Meanwhile we wish to acknowledge and thank our outgoing Executive and Founding Directors, 2004-2010, for their past involvement and current continued support:

Our Mission is to:
Investigate, promote and implement programs, products and services that contribute to the social, economical and ecological sustainability of the Niagara Region, and beyond.We wish to acknowledge and congradulate Founding Director, David Alexander (Municipal Councillor-Reelect for the City of Welland) on his being presented with the 2005 EcoCouncillor Award, at 2006 World Urban Forum in Vancouver by Minister Diane Finley, Minister for Human Resources and Social Development.
Sustainable Niagara was a 2006 Environmental Organization of the Year finalist for the Peter F. Drucker Canadian Non-Profit Innovation Awards
