This portal has been redesigned to enable a flexibility in finding our databased resources.
The table above displays specific inputs and selections made or automatically set in the form below.
Enter a word or phrase into Keywords input, and/or make selections from the listboxes
Search formats vary according to which button (Detailsearch, Resources, Stats, or Glossary) is selected
In most cases, using the Keywords together with the Search Precisions (Quick, Flexible and Loose) should yield some results.
Please Note! The Search Precision setting could change in an attempt to find a record.
The Categories and Trends lists yield different results depending on the Search Precision settings.
For multiple list selections, press CTRL key while left-clicking. (Click first item of boxlists to clear all previous selections.) Colored boxlists indicate existing selections within.
Please Note! Only one Trend should be selected when using the Glossary search button.
Use the Search Precision to expand, or limit search results.
Depending on the inputs used, the Search Precision controls the search accuracy.
Quick (default) is the fastest and has limited flexibility. (i.e. Mixed Use will find mixed-Use, mixed_Use and mixeduse.)
Flexible has greater latitude. (i.e. an entry for smart growth will find smarter growth, as well as search titles and linking addresses)
Loose increases flexibility (i.e. , ecological capacity) and the number of areas searched within the database.
Click Stats when you are ready to search - or re-search.
Note thatReset does not clear, or restart inputs. Only changes made since the most recent search.
If Open New Window is set to Yes (default) any resource links you click on from the resulting list will be opened in a new window. Any changes to this option will only take affect after you click on GO!
